The world of technology is becoming more complex, and it’s often challenging to cut through the noise and focus on what really matters. The same applies to adopting the right tools and skills to build innovative solutions on public, private and on-premise cloud platforms.

This blog aims to cover the latest news and advances on wide range of topics in technology, with the primary focus of cloud computing. I also intend to share my experiences in designing cloud platforms, edge solutions, distributed systems, integrating AI in IoT networks, and developing end-to-end systems using cloud native development.  

I’m a director and distinguished engineer at Discover Financial Services, leading the innovation and application modernisation across infrastructure and cloud engineering. Previously I headed up IBM Build Labs for validated solutions, ‘Developer’ and ‘Ecosystems’ advocacy for IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to IBM, I worked as a research scientist and a technical lead at Intel, and a Java/open source developer at Sun Microsystems.  

My academic and industrial experiences in R&D range from ‘Edge Computing’ to ‘Cloud Native’, ‘Distributed Systems’, ‘Wireless Sensor Networks’, ‘Machine Learning’ and ‘Embedded Systems’ in smart healthcare, smart cities and enterprise applications. I’ve collaborated in various national and international projects involving top technology corporations in Telco, Oil and Gas, Industry 4.0, Retail, Logistics, Insurance and Banking.
