Napa Valley

While in the Bay Area, we had a special team building day in Napa Valley wine country, north of San Francisco. That was our first face-to-face meeting with all advocacy leaders worldwide.

Our three-day planning sessions started with presentations by each of GEO leaders outlining their achievements, strengths and challenges. We followed up with discussion on best practices and how to leverage and scale those in other GEOs.

The also most interesting part was our design session, where we drafted the top priorities in an agile manner for the fall plan. We ideated on our top challenges in 2019 and used design thinking principles to surface ideas to address in 2020.

We met with our advocacy counterparts at Red Hat and made plans to work more closely across the GEOs in the coming months.
