Code One 2019
This is my 10th Code One (formerly Java One) Conference in San Francisco!
Java/Code One has been my favourite event of the year to meet fellow Java developers and get the latests on the Java ecosystem since 2007. As an alumnus, I’ve spoken at this conference many times on a variety of topics ranging from J2ME and OSGI back in 2008 to Edge computing, IoT and microservices architecture.
Networking and the opportunity to meet likeminded people are on my top of my list coming to this conference every year. I’ve literally made hundreds of friends and collaborated with many Java developers here at this event over the years.
During Code One, IBM advocates will be talking to developers about the importance of being an open enterprise, covering open source, open standards, and open governance as the future of development.
During my session [DEV2237] at 12:15pm, I’ll be co-hosting a talk with Pratik Patel on “Data Visualization, Processing, and ML on the JVM! with Apache Zeppelin”. Check out the schedule of our talks and workshops by IBM developer advocates.
We’ve also got a beautiful booth here at the groundbreakers hub at Moscone Center. This year we are showcasing demos on a variety of open technologies, most notably OpenLiberty, Quarkus and OpenJ9.
JCP (Java Community Process) annual awards presentation and party is another exciting highlight of this event to meet with many community and JUG leaders. This year we attended the event with our fellow Red Hat colleagues.
